Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Create and manage priority of JIRA tickets relating to the specific work.

Participate in system enhancements, UAT, and production support activities.

Build and maintain detailed documentation of data flows, critical processes, and business logic.

Perform data mapping, validation, and gap analysis.
-
Set up and run meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and obtain sign-offs.
-
Run solution design meetings with engineers and solution architects.
-
Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
-
Work closely with developers to validate solutions and ensure alignment with business requirements.
-
Write test cases and assist with unit testing/help business.
What do you need to succeed?
-
Minimum 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst in financial services, preferably investment management or asset management.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Proficient in SQL (queries, joins, data extraction, etc.) for data mining and analysis.
-
Experience working within Agile methodology, specifically Scrum.
-
Experience leading a project (Project Management).

Strong understanding of Investment Management business domain and concepts (equities, fixed income, derivatives, mutual funds, etc.).

Experience in identifying and assessing key business processes.

Expert communication skills (written and verbal)—able to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must contribute and work well with others, have good interpersonal skills (build relationships/foster collaboration).

Able to build strategic business relationships with stakeholders and other team members.
-
Work effectively through issues, with a proven history of keen judgement in distinguishing between what users want versus what they need and prioritizing conflicting factors such as urgency, time to deliver, regulatory considerations, etc.

Think critically (on your own and with others).

Be a continuous learner, open to new ideas/processes and to feedback.

Self-starter, independent, organized, able to manage deadlines among different projects/priorities.

Experience with clear, concise requirements gathering.

Able to take problem statement and provide several solutions, including a root cause analysis.
